Game Overview
Solace Crafting is a relaxed open-world role-playing game that allows endless travel in all directions. As you explore, monsters and resources will increase in difficulty by one level per kilometer (0.6 miles) from the start. You'll need a base with refinery and manufacturing facilities to craft the right gear to advance through increasingly difficult content, build your own fast travel network, and scavenge for rare materials.
Exploration
Traversing an infinite realm of fantasy is not meant to be difficult.Player-made teleporters can throw you into uncharted territory, and player-made comfort pieces can travel freely to and from any other comfort in your world. With a viewable range of over 30 miles, you can plan a route to any biome that suits your needs. Resource scanners can be set to help locate rare materials in distant locations, and the map will show points of interest in a wide area around the
locations you've visited.
Adventure
With no "starter classes" you can create your own adventure class from 240 skill nodes. Four archetype skill trees branch into eight job skill trees, complementing a variety of playstyles.Mix and match skill trees and assign your attribute points as you see fit.
Harvest
The main resources increase every 5 levels, resulting in increasingly powerful equipment. Rare raw materials can be seen from afar, especially at night, thanks to their colorful glow. Other, more complicated resources require you to build cities to collect them, or get magical underwear to find them in both the hottest and coldest places. Ctrl + F turns on auto-harvest if you're just starting out, but hone your harvesting skills and you'll soon be
one-shot resource nodes like a pro.
Crafting
The recipes in Solace Crafting are not predefined. A boot recipe makes boots, but the level, grade, rarity, material, and color are entirely up to you, limited only by your resources, facilities, and skills. As you progress and find more and more powerful materials, upgrading your gear is vital to survival. Collect monster blueprints to craft extraordinary gear. Unlock powerful enchantments to add to your team.
Building
Our unique building system is faster than any other and allows you to use the WASD keys in conjunction with the spacebar to quickly place floors and walls even when you can't see or reach them. For more complicated designs, you can switch to free placement mode and control the positioning and rotation of building parts with inch precision without collision restrictions. Build ladders to reach gems on cave ceilings, or ladders to climb tower ruins and other points of interest.
Multiplayer
Network Code may be a beast, but multiplayer now successfully supports 95% of the content that single player offers. Dedicated servers are highly recommended over hosting players, although work continues to improve the player hosting experience.Big Kitty Games runs one public server and two community servers have been doing well for a long time to support beta development.
